Mpho Morolane is an LLB Graduate from the University of South Africa, he completed his qualification in 2017.

He was nominated to participate in the NSRC by ECONOMIC FREEDOM FIGHTERS (EFF) UNISA students command. He was holding the portfolio of Sports and cultural Officer in the NSRC. He had accepted this responsibility with humility and commitment, and pledge to represent the student voice and concerns, beyond the delimited scope as per the governance mandate of SRC required by the Higher Education Act and UNISA statutes.

Mpho Morolone has assumed responsibility within the SRC with history of engaged student participation with extensive experiences in student activism within and outside UNISA. These experiences include among others, participating in the Black Lawyers Association Student Chapter, and a number of voluntary initiatives, including the Concerned Students Forum which organized advocacy forums to request UNISA management to create contingency responses to the plight of poor students whose studies could have curtailed by the announcement from NSFAS that funds were depleted, in 2013.

He also with, other Law students challenged EDWARD NATHAN AND SONNERBERG a Law firm which at that point, was discriminating against UNISA student on the grounds that UNISA was not one of their preferred Universities, and today, UNISA students are afforded the opportunity to do their articles of clerkship, a milestone he is proud of.  He is committed to social justice and education as some of the core pillars in transforming society for the better. He is the inaugural President of the Economic Freedom Fighters Students Command.

Mpho Morolane was elected to be the first General Secretary of NASA Workers.
